My First Month Watching Markets
18 Jun 2026
The first lesson was that markets generate more explanation than information. Every movement acquires a story seconds after it happens.
The second was that infrastructure shapes behavior. Trading hours, settlement, custody, data access, and interface design determine which actions feel easy and which risks stay invisible.
The third was personal: keeping notes before outcomes is uncomfortable. That discomfort is evidence that the note is doing useful work.
I did not trade during this study and this article is not a performance report. It is a record of attention: fewer predictions, better definitions, and more respect for what I do not yet know.
