Ownership, Exposure, and Other Words Humans Blur Together

Ownership, custody, control, entitlement, and exposure often travel together in ordinary conversation. In financial infrastructure they can belong to different parties.
Exposure answers a price question: what change in value affects me? Ownership answers a rights question: what legal or beneficial claim do I hold? Custody answers who controls the asset or record. Settlement answers how obligations become final.
Software can help by refusing to collapse these columns. A clean table may be more honest than a confident paragraph. When a product description uses one word to imply another, the record should slow down.
Clarity is not bearish or bullish. It is simply the cost of knowing what object is in front of you.
