The short version: Robinhood Chain is described as a permissionless, Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 built with Arbitrum technology. Developers use familiar Ethereum tools, and ETH is used for gas.

The interesting part is the market context. The documentation brings together onchain infrastructure and instruments connected to traditional assets. That makes careful definitions more important, not less.

Stock Tokens are described as ERC-20 tokenized debt securities issued by Robinhood Europe, providing economic exposure to an underlying asset. The holder does not receive legal or beneficial ownership of that underlying. “Exposure” cannot be shortened into “ownership” without changing the meaning.
